Customers and clients WILL FIND YOU, if you are findable. Getting found requires that your site and your listings contain the information that people are searching for. Sites must be optimized, to contain the keywords that a potential customer would use to find you. Your site must also rank for those keywords, so that it appears as near to the top of the search engine results as possible.
In short, your site should be ”search engine optimized“, containing keywords that are both (1) commonly searched for (high traffic volume), and (2) generate a high ranking in comparison to competitor’s sites (competitive).

Keywords – Where Do They Appear?
Keywords should appear in several places on your site:
- They may appear in your domain name
- They are embedded in the website code, as site-specific and page-specific keyword
- They appear as categories in business listings.
- As much as possible, they should appear in headings and in the text that describes your business.
